Make your Research Data accessible with SITES
At SITES, one of our core goals is to make data accessible and valuable for the research community and beyond. Our mission extends beyond offering internally produced open data (from SITES Station and Thematic Programs). We also aim to provide a platform for researchers using SITES infrastructure to publish their data in a FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) framework. This service offers several key advantages for our users:
Citation and Recognition - Each dataset is assigned a persistent identifier (PID), ensuring it can be linked to research profiles, publications, and journal articles. Need a DOI? We can generate one for individual datasets or collections, enhancing visibility and credibility.
Detailed Metadata for Greater Impact - High-quality metadata improves data transparency and ensures robust documentation, boosting the impact and usability of your data.
Interoperability - All data adhere to standardized vocabularies, terminologies, and ontologies. It integrates seamlessly into a broader scientific context, referencing related metadata to showcase relationships between datasets.
Secure and Persistent Archiving - Data is securely stored across three servers in Sweden, Finland, and Germany. Persistent identifiers ensure data remains accessible and reliable over time.
Workflow Automation - Our API streamlines data publication, reporting, and supports reproducible science.
Enhanced Discoverability - Data is easily discoverable through Google and other search engines using JSON schemas, amplifying its reach and accessibility.
By using SITES, researchers can ensure their data is secure, discoverable, and impactful.
