The SITES Secretariat together with the system developer team at ICOS have been cooperating with the Swedish National Data Service (SND) on the development of the new web portal Researchdata.se providing input on data harvesting and how to present metadata for SITES and other data providers. This portal has been developed to find, share, and reuse research data from a wide range of research fields.
The SITES/ICOS team provided input to the metadata catalogue development during the past year, so data can be well-represented and searchable through filters on this new web portal. The SITES Metadata Catalogue is now automatically harvested by SND´s reserachdata.se portal and the SITES Data can be accessed through this new entity. From the early developments of the SITES Data Management onwards, SND has been an important partner and provided valuable inside and input to developing the SITES Data Portal.
The SITES/ICOS team is looking forward to continue this successful collaboration into the future. Besides continuing to partnering in the researchdata.se development, the SITES Secretariat has now joined a new project, called KAFFE, also lead by SND. This project focuses on identifying researchers’ needs related to research data management, in connection with the interaction between various Swedish e-infrastructures.
