1. Tell us about your background

I am an associate professor that has worked the last two decades at Lund University. I have studied lowland permafrost in the sub-arctic and the interaction with snow and vegetation. However, during the last 9 years, I have focused on coordinating INTERACT (eu-interact.org). INTERACT is a circumpolar network of terrestrial research stations (93 stations but collaboration with 21 Russian stations is currently on hold). From 1 September I am the new head of the Land- based research support at the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat.
